Bajaj Auto Limited is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company based in Pune, Maharastra, India. Bajaj Auto was established on 29 November 1945 as M/s Bachraj Trading Corporation Private Limited. The first Bajaj Pulsar “Twins” were launched on 24 November 2001. Since 2001, Bajaj had seven series of pulser. But now only five series pulser bikes are available in market. Like Bajaj Pulser DTS-i, NS, N, RS and F series.
Recently in 2022, Bajaj Auto manufacture Pulser N160 (N series), Dual Channel ABS and Single Channel ABS. Among bike enthusiasts, Pulsar is a legendary name synonymous with sports bikes. It changed the way people viewed sport biking and has since become a symbol of reverence. Pulsar has been the embodiment of power for bike enthusiasts for over two decades. Now, they have taken it to the next level, allowing riders to experience control like never before. All-new Bajaj Pulsar N160, which is set to be the entry point into the premium sports segment, yet still a top-notch commuter in the 160 cc category. Pulsar N160 are available in four colours,
Brooklyn Black, Racing Red, Caribbean Blue and Techno Grey . But Dual Channel ABS variant only available in Brooklyn Black colour.

Design and Features 

                                                                         

The Bajaj Pulsar N160 has a familiar design like Pulsar N250. Its face headlamp is Bi functional LED projector headlamp with LED DRLs, and LED Tail lamp with Glitter pattern. Fuel tank capacity is 14 liter with small quarter fairing around shape. The seat is wide, comfortable enough.
Speedometer console, with both analog and digital. Which include Gear indicator, Clock, Fuel economy and Range indicator and also fuel tank has a USB charging port at the top position. Unfortunately there is no Bluetooth Connectivity.

Engine and Performence

The Engine Displacement is 164.82 cc with Single cylinder, 4 stroke, SOHC, 2 valve, Oil cooled, FI. Engine produces 11.7 kW (16 PS) @ 8750 rpm Max Power with 14.65 Nm @ 6750 rpm Max Torque. And The 5-speed transmission is smooth and responsive and complements the engine’s refinement. It offers plenty of torque at low and mid-range speeds and a wide range of torque for stronger acceleration.

It’s has tubeless tyres, in front 100/80-7 and rear is 130/70-17 (Wheel base 1358 mm) Ground clearance 165 mm .

When it’s about comfort issue for biker (Seat height – rider 795 mm) and pillion, well it has suspension Telescopic, 37 mm in front for Dual Channel ABS. And Telescopic, 31 mm front suspension for Single Channel ABS. But nothing to worry, both have rear Monoshock suspension. (Telescopic Forks and Multi-step adjustable Mono shock with Nitrox)

 

Braking Performance

ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), the N160 brakes are 300 mm, Disc front for Dual Channel ABS and 280 mm, Disc for Single Channel ABS. 230 mm Disc in rear.

Total Kerb weight of N160 Dual Channel ABS is 154 kg and Single Channel ABS) 152 kg.

According to users, mileage of N160 is 40-45 kmpl. And one of the most interesting part of N160 is, it’s sporty underbelly exhaust.
